Where would a good place for a single SSG to live around Fort Leonard Wood? Would it be worth it to live on post?

Just with getting through the gate since it's a training post there's always family days, graduation days, and a "schedule" of influx of people visiting, I'd rather live on post, have a lot of new housing and easier on those stupid winter snow days...

I lived on post as a Special Agent (Sergeant) in the SBEQs. Single enlisted CID Agents cannot live in the barracks due to them having duty handguns 24/7. Fort Leonard Wood is as remote today as it was when I was there in 1978.
