It&#39;s all based on what AFSC&#39;s are needed the most at what location. A lot depends on what your AFSC actually is, what projected losses the losing station has, and what other &quot;specially manned&quot; assignments have priority for.<br /><br />Unless the system has changed, you are allowed to pick bases of preference (assuming your AFSC is at that location) but that doesn&#39;t mean that&#39;s where the AF will send you. AFPC will try to match if they can but it doesn&#39;t always happen.
