I am joining the Army National Guard and my asvab line scores allow me to choose any MOS including language required mos. I want to choose a mos that will provide me the best chances of making top money and opportunity on the civilian side. I am leaning towards any of the 35 Intel series. Thoughts?

35T is definitely the way to go, essentially 25 series on steroids with a TS clearance and huge bonuses right now

Intel, specifically Counterintelligence, Crypto, or in some cases linguists; Cyber - 17C, 25D, or anything that pushes you through advanced network security courses and jobs; Aviation - there's always a job on the outside for people who can fix birds.

Those are just the ones I've heard of. I'm still about 4.5 years out from retirement, so I haven't really started looking into jobs just yet outside of Counterintelligence and Cyber (my specialties.)

When you start looking for jobs after you have some experience under your belt, seek out a headhunter. They can usually net you a higher-paying job tailored to your specific resume and interests.

Good luck.

Very vague question, but if I would give any advise, it would be any MOS requiring a TS/SCI clearance. Almost all MOSs require just a secret nowadays. Comes down to what you want to do, though. Don't just do it for the money, because what's the point of making good money but dislike the work you do for it. Find something that you enjoy and that also brings home the bacon. I will most likely NOT be doing my MOS when I retire. However, I know the job I want and it requires a TS/SCI and pays well.
