Make sure you get all of your points accounted for. Another thing, if you retire before age 60, go retired reserve, if not retired pay will be based off of date retired. Make sure every point is accounted for by HRC. Also, if you have done any mobilizations since January 2008, your retirement will start 90 days earlier for every 90 days you have done. I just got my reserve retirement ID card last week and the DEERS lady told me to contact HRC a year out from my retirement so HRC can cut the final orders. Without those, you will not get Tricare. My first stop will be on my points summary. Going trough active ( if you was) points DD214 them time on deployments (if any) and last year by year them correct them and after if everything is right retire with viluntary recall for activation which as a senior you could be call anytime!!
