After the BRAC moves in the early 2000's, Graf had a ton of money invested in it and it shows.Response by SFC Michael Hasbun made Aug 22 at 2020 9:19 AM2020-08-22T09:19:11-04:002020-08-22T09:19:11-04:00CSM Darieus ZaGara6233501<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>they each have their own qualities. Graf is in the country, but very near a few beautiful cities. Stuttgart is a mid sized city. Both offer anmazingvsit seeing. My preference is Graf. It is an hour one direction to Munich, one hour to Nuremberg, and an hour and a half from Garmisch. It is in he midst of Bavaria, one of the most beautiful places in The world in my opinion.Response by CSM Darieus ZaGara made Aug 22 at 2020 12:59 PM2020-08-22T12:59:58-04:002020-08-22T12:59:58-04:00SSG Robert Ricci6236331<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>It depends on what you're interested in. If you are single Stuttgart is the place to be. I recall when I was stationed there, there was a disco that was multi-floor. It had a different genre live band on each floor. There were plenty of German women there to get your whistle wet with. Be careful though. Many of them are just looking to get pregnant and a ticket to the United States. This applies to Grafenwöhr as well. Where you will find u.s. soldiers you will find young it available young maidens.<br /><br />If you are married you will probably find Grafenwöhr to be a better location because it is much more laid-back and suitable for a family. Stuttgart is a party town.Response by SSG Robert Ricci made Aug 23 at 2020 10:41 AM2020-08-23T10:41:42-04:002020-08-23T10:41:42-04:00COL David Turk6240781<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Stuttgart is a major metropolitan area. Graf is in the sticks (former German training base). If memory is correct, Graf gets much colder than Stuttgart. A lot more senior brass and NCOs around Stuttgart due to EUCOM and affiliated commands. The Africa command is there but is due to relocate.Response by COL David Turk made Aug 24 at 2020 4:13 PM2020-08-24T16:13:50-04:002020-08-24T16:13:50-04:00SSG Cynthia Koehn6281254<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>EUCOM for post life, Graf for locationResponse by SSG Cynthia Koehn made Sep 5 at 2020 10:02 AM2020-09-05T10:02:00-04:002020-09-05T10:02:00-04:00SFC Kevin Stampfly7329909<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I have been stationed in Grafenwoehr in the past and I am currently stationed in Stuttgart right now. If I had to choose, Stuttgart I think has a better overall community but that's just my opinion. We have some larger commands here with alot of Joint Service opportunities. I think you need to experience both to honestly answer that question though.Response by SFC Kevin Stampfly made Oct 21 at 2021 6:51 PM2021-10-21T18:51:29-04:002021-10-21T18:51:29-04:002020-08-22T09:10:56-04:00
