Which branch of the military offers the best opportunity for someone pursuing an intelligence MOS? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/which-branch-of-the-military-offers-the-best-opportunity-for-someone-pursuing-an-intelligence-mos <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>My son is a senior in college and would like to find an intelligence career field in the military, preferably as an officer but open to enlisted. Navy, Army, Air Force would be preferable because they offer student loan repayment. He has a 3.6 in political science and a National Security certificate. He is in really good physical shape so I suspect he would ace all the p.t. Tests. He spoke with Navy and Army Recruiters who told them there’s nothing they can do until its six months before he graduates. He has read conflicting stories about the difficulty of finding intelligence job openings. I know a lot will probably depend on his test scores but any advice would be greatly appreciated. Is there a branch that offers better opportunities? And are there more openings as enlisted v officer? See what is available to him and to keep making the rounds to see what changes are coming and have his mind made up and ready to go at graduation. If your son is computer savvy 35N is the way to go or a 35A specializing in signals/ electronic warfare. I’m pretty sure the army has a student loan forgiveness program. Opportunities to lead. More money. I strongly recommend he go with the Air Force; however, taking the Service that offers him the quickest accession after graduation with the best &quot;perks&quot; is a good choice. So I would tend to agree with the LT. COL. However, if his long term goal is to do something with an intelligence career in the civilian sector I would enlist on the army and get himseld a speciaized&quot;Int&quot; ( Google Army Intelligence careers). These jobs guarantee top level clearance and they pretty well. Even as a contractes All- source Analyst, I get paid pretty well. Of course, having to relocate and love on the DMC area at be a downside SFC Private RallyPoint Member Sun, 29 Sep 2019 18:45:57 -0400 2019-09-29T18:45:57-04:00 2019-09-21T17:13:02-04:00
