ISIS, since they have no borders. I believe most of those countries (except for Russia) is probably harboring ISIS cells.

I feel Russia and China are the biggest long term rivals, but also with the lowest chance of engaging them in a "hot" war. ISIS and Iran are the more immediate threats, but their influence is on a more regional scale. And North Korea is a wild card.

It abides in the hearts and minds of every person who has been indoctrinated with an ideology that leads us astray from our cultural roots of individual liberty and self responsibility, self-reliance and respect for the rule of law. Those other "enemies" pale by comparison. They may harm us, but they cannot destroy us. They will merely scavenge our remains if we allow our spirit to die.

As a kid growing up during the cold war era, I remember hearing from the USSR that the U.S. would be defeated from within. I think this is the biggest threat. USSR is long gone, the the threat from within I believe is the biggest because the majority of Americans believe it will never happen or they are too busy to see it creeping up.

No nation is going to destroy us. We'll destroy ourselves, and it will be brick by brick as we allow our Freedoms to be chipped away because we "fear" what our neighbors "could" do, instead of what they "are" doing. The future of the Army is not in one of these places but all of these places. To prioritize one conflict is asking to be left flat footed for another, that's one of the biggest lessons of the last ten years. All of these countries pose a security threat to us. They are all different but all threats. A few have already talked about the real risk to America. America was an ideal, a vision for freedom and liberty enshrined in our founding documents.

We have a issues of the heart, of the mind and of the spirit that are far more threatening to us than these countries. We have become complacent, under educated, to dependent, to politically correct, to cult of personality driven and many other things that are eroding the foundation. As Ben Franklin was asked when leaving the Constitutional Convention "Well, Doctor, what have we got, a republic or a monarchy?"With no hesitation whatsoever, Franklin responded,"A republic, if you can keep it." He knew the work of keeping it would be far harder than anyone would think and he was right.

There are no guarantees. We have been insulated for so long we have forgotten what it has taken to get here and that is as sure a sign of trouble as anything.

Strategically, China's moves in the South China Sea and in regards to economic espionage are of great concern. The South China Sea contains vast resources and is astride some of the busiest trade routes in the world. Their organized theft of intellectual property is on an unprecedented scale and costs America billions, if not trillions of dollars. Were they to make a call in the national debt, we could not pay. Overnight the dollar would collapse.
I do think the administration has paid some attention to the issue, but they have not hit on something effective to contain China or make some of these activities unprofitable.

None of the listed. Our biggest "enemies" are those that call us "friends" in public, take our money, politicians, and use both to influence their will in our country. If we look at it that way, a lot of folks would be astonished that our "allies" can be worse than any militant out there. The "Ally" will be there longer, and have much more pull than the person who just "kills for sport" and moves on. This is like the old saying" I'd much rather have a man who doesn't like me and tells me he doesn't like me for whatever, than to have that same man living next door, telling me how awesome I am, as he plots against me and I never see it coming".

Although any list I would create to answer that question would for a military and/or foreign policy standpoint include every country or terrorist group listed. but I would hasten to add this add to add include the current administration. Our biggest threat is our nations ever growing idiology that they don't have to work for anything, individuals believe there is no "ownness" or responsibility for their actions they believe it's their constitutional right. And for those that have been around a few years you can see it within our own ranks. Read some of the things posted about officers and NCOs just in to collect a paycheck and not caring about the troops the only way to fix it is through hard work, giving individuals pride and self worth, making them a productive member of a team. If you make things easy so people can pass then your part of the problem, everyone should not get a participation trophy.

I think that ISIS is a bigger threat than the rest of Asia combined. They have huge piles of money and basically no government to run, lots of emotional support and a total lack of morals or values. All the other countries at least have some values...

None of those, the big enemy is economic decline. If we continue to decline we will at some point be unable to address any of these threats. The middle class continues to shrink and good jobs are still being replaced by poorly paying jobs.

None of those are the biggest concerns at this time, but all need watching. Currently, IMHO, the greatest current threat to our Constitutional Republic is the corruption of corporate media and next is the state of our Nation's education and historical illiteracy of the majority of our Nation.
