Depends on time in service. Plus, there was a program to provide a kicker to your base if you would make less as an WO

Take this for what its worth but if you are looking at Pay to decide what you want doin uniform then maybe you should rethink career choices.

WO1 pays a couple hundred more a month than E7.

Your WO-1 is going to make more vs an E-7 if everything TIS wise is equal.

As it turns out, neither is the best pay. The best pay under the Army’s current rank structure is O-10 (GEN).

I think you're asking the wrong question. However, if you are a WO-1, you have potential to grow in that field to a certain degrees. As a senior enlisted, it's a tough competition to fight for E-8 and eventually E-9.

I always thought if you're already a SFC and switch over to Warrant you'd be a CW2 right outta the gate? Anyone know if this is correct or not?
