You should read several from both sides, and then read some from outside the U.S. Sometimes foreign news outlets have a better handle on certain issues in the U.S. than American news outlets. Or they just report more information than American outlets. Take all the information you can get your hands on, and then realize that the Truth is somewhere in the middle of all that information. Use critical thinking and the knowledge that every outlet has its own slant, and you'll get what you need. They bring in both sides of a subject and let them voice their opinions and beliefs and let the listener make their decision. that is more than any of the others will do. If any of the others do chance to bring in an opposing belief they denigrate then and crucify them on camera. or attempt to but usually get their heads handed back to themselves. Even O'Reilly whom I do not like at all because I believe he is a pin head. he brings is opposing views. Fox and Friends in the mornings is great pure and simple, no spin... and Waters World is hilarious, showing just how stupid people are, especially college kids who should know better! I suspect a lot of the "Other" votes are the equivalent of "None". That's not to say they don't serve a purpose, just that you have to take their biases in account. I appreciate that even notoriously left-wing MSNBC is bringing in some opposing viewpoints, usually outnumbered and denigrated, but at least there. They weren't even on the list to choose from. Neither were the main broadcast networks or CNN. You really can't even say C-SPAN (also not on the list) is wholly unbiased since they do have commentary and don't show everything that happens in Congress, but they're probably as close as it gets to an unbiased source, at least within their limited scope of coverage. Unbiased news is a unicorn. If I actually want to know about something published I have look to see who published the piece. Then I Google the reporter. Last, I try to use common sense to see if there are any inconsistencies in what is being said to the sources are being referenced. After all that then I discount most everything as biased.
