If your in a race on a track runners are staggered because the inside lane is faster. It's common courtesy and America in general is failing on "simple" common courtesies. I feel that the generation for looking out for the other guy is fading. It's an all about "me" generation. Lane 1 to 4 for Runners. The problem relies on a lack of consideration of others. I enforce that walkers stay in lanes 5 and 6 everytime we are doing PRT on the track. Worst part is when you get people walking and having normal converstaion. You are required to get a work out with the walk, not just walk and chill while taking over three lanes with your walking partners. Granted Soldiers have legitimate injuries that prevent them from running, still it does not give you a right to take over a track. Stay in the outer lanes! Leave the inside ones for running. I always said if you are just walking for many reasons find a trail, sidewalk, or use the roads. A PT profile for walking doesn't limit the person to only walk on the track. What I dislike is when when there are 4-5 walking abreast cover 4-5 lanes or when the runner's workout/ sprint interval is done, he/she slows down and walks in lane 1. But, unfortunately, many people do not understand this simple rule. Even if there are signs posted to this effect, it's like they can't even read. I have run into this issue when I'd ride my bike on the bike path at the Virginia Beach boardwalk. Signs are posted everywhere, "Do Not Walk on the Bike Path" sure enough, some idiot takes it upon themselves to walk down the bike path, and then gets upset because they almost get run down by someone on a bike or yelled at for walking on the bike path Response by SGT Mark Sullivan made Feb 19 at 2015 10:10 AM 2015-02-19T10:10:00-05:00 2015-02-19T10:10:00-05:00 Private RallyPoint Member 3357727 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Track follows the rules of the road, left lanes or inside are the &quot;fast&quot; lanes and you never cross the track with out looking both ways twice!!
