Cruise ship is my first choice Sgt Kelli Mays. Not only can I relax and let somebody else do the "Driving" but I can relax with friends and loved ones, look at the scenery without fear of crashing, and eat wonderful meals while traveling.
Train is my second choice for most the same reasons as cruise ship - except food:-)
Car is wonderful because it can take you many more places than ship or train can within this nation.

AMTRAK because that is the only way my wife likes. As for me alone fly.

I like the fastest and safest way.... regardless of mode. It will vary depending on where I am going.

I love flying. If it's a short trip, I like to travel in my truck. But, long distances, I fly. My arms are tired when I arrive, but it's still the best way for me. Lol

The only way that I have traveled in many years is by automobile and I have always preferred taking my car. A large part of the reason is that I like to see the sights and if I have my own car I can take my time and stop and look whenever I see anything interesting. For that same reason I try to avoid the interstates. More to see on the back roads. An example is taking Hwy 90 down the coast instead of I 10. Hwy 90 runs right on the water for most of the way from FL to TX. Almost anywhere that you want to go there is an older state of federal highway with lots of interesting things to see. Another benefits is that I have my own car when I get there and am not dependent upon someone else for transportation or having to rent a car. Once upon a time I occasionally took a plane but that is such a pain in the rear now that I don't even consider it and when you get to your destination you still have to rent a car. I had rather have my own.

While traveling in, around Denmark, Germany, I like the train. Will get me any where and when I arrive I am relaxed and rested.

Most people can't travel by space shuttle(and really, very few people ever got to fly in it regardless before it was canned), so I find it weird that it was included. Not to mention the fact that most forms of transit don't involve delaying for hours or days and having a team of engineers pore over everything if everything isn't perfect. Sorry for the digression. As cool as the shuttle was, it wasn't very practical or cost efficient.

Plane, because the places I really like to go are very, very far from home. Domestic travel just isn't very exciting to me, but every year my wife and I travel overseas and that is the entire reason we work so hard during the year.

I choose car because it's my primary mode of transportation and I definitely wouldn't know what to do without it.

If it wasn't so darn expensive I would probably rather fly though as much as I love aviation. Fast, comfortable and scenic.

It all depends, if I am going far for the weekend, most likely flying or train, I do enjoy long train trips, and if driving, I prefer my motorcycle although it is not always possible, due to logistics, weather, etc. But I've driven all the way from the east coast to California, and from East coast to Texas.

I drove from Mountain View CA to Foxboro MA 2 years ago in my 2010 Vette and it was awesome. I used GPS & Microsoft Map Tracking on my tablet PC & listened to XM Radio Music from the 50s all the way on Route 60....A big change from my 1st trip across country in 1961 in a 1959 Ford Fairland 500 Convertible.

I have a need....a need for speed. Now the problem is I own both of the vehicles below, and neither one has the ability to do 55. But they're great for short distances and make the drive fun no matter what. I can honestly say I can have the worlds WORST day and when either motor starts up, it just got a lot better!!

For short distances, I love the subway and bus, but I currently live in the suburbs, so it's more logical for me to drive my car.

For long distances, I love flying.

Historically you will find air travel is safest. I have been on over 450 flights in the last 4 years with only one nervous situation. Now I am in an Airborne PSYOP BN & they jump out of them. Unbelievable!!!!

If I had the chance, I'd love to go by train. Obviously not the sardine-can of a commuter subway, I'm talking a nice bedroom suite on a continental passenger liner. Another grand option would be a ship-- a yacht of some sort.

If not that, then SUV or motorcycle.

This is a question that really hits home with me.. Due to my work with IndyCar, I drive to all of our races.. I drive the Tech/Race Control tractor trailer.. I fly only two to three times a year.. I HATE FLYING, It has become to big of a pain in the butt to fly anymore.. When I take vacation I either drive a car or ride my motorcycle.. So for me driving is the way to go, I can carry concealed for my own safety.. I do not have to rely on idiots from our government to keep me safe..
