Which of these non-profit organizations would you give to and why?

I'm starting a business to help wounded veterans. I have searched for days to find a non-profit organization that focuses on wounded veterans. I narrowed it down to four nonprofits. So I need your help! Which of these non profit organizations will you give to and why?

As someone who works in the military/veteran nonprofit space for Project Sanctuary (http://www.projectsanctuary.us), I understand the mission and value of each of these organizations. Without a doubt, Fisher House is the premier nonprofit among these choices. Their mission, financials, and proven results separate them from the other organizations.

SGT Willie Tubbs, I appreciate your enthusiasm and desire to give back to wounded veterans. Thanks for that - as it's extremely important to serve and honor those who have sacrificed for our country.
I would like to offer two suggestions.
#1 Don't start your own non-profit. Hopefully, this doesn't sound harsh, but the reality is, you're going to be one of tens of thousands who have the same desire and drive; however, lack the necessary resources to be truly effective. Look for an organization that aligns with what you want to do and then see if you can partner in your location.
#2 Consider Project Sanctuary or our Texas-based affiliate, Healing our Heroes Project (http://www.hohproject.org) as someone to work with to achieve your desired results.

Honestly, I would have to lean, personally, with the smallest organization. The reasons are two-fold. Firstly, I love al of these organizations, but their individual boards might or might not have the authority to help a specific service-member because of their internal qualification criteria. Secondly, it is my opinion that the profits sharing, sort of, would make the biggest impact. That impact might also allow you to help address the needs of veterans whose qualifications might not fit the predetermined mold.

The Fisher House is the only I would donate to since they are very helpful to families of injured service-members. I have heard of "Homes" and "PVA" but don't know much about them. Will never donate to WWP.

They have amazing people. They helped me in so many ways. They gave me clothes so I didn't have to wear scrubs, blankets , food and they were always checking on me. I saw more of them than the medical staff. They even called to see how I was doing and if I needed anything when I got to WTU.

It's a good idea to review a charity's 990 data on a site such as GuideStar to see how much of the money you are donating goes to the work they do and how much goes to salaries and expenses.

The Wounded Warrior Project has done a tremendous work for our fellow Disabled Veterans. Another great Veteran's Non-Profit Organization that continues to help and support our Disabled Veterans is the Disabled American Veterans of which I have been a proud lifetime member of since 2010. I devote my time to helping my fellow Disabled Veterans to the best of my ability. I created a website called Disabled Vet Assistance (http://www.disabledvetassistance.org) to help my fellow Disabled Veterans navigate to the VA Forms site to access the various forms needed for VA Disability Claims, a site that list the many Veteran's Service Organizations that are available to assist Disabled Veterans with their VA Claims and a section for Veterans to request assistance in locating a Veteran's Service Organization near them. I don't charge any fees to assist my fellow Disabled Veterans and any donations that I may receive to my website will go toward the continued work of the Disabled American Veterans.

There are others I would give to outside if these, but from your list I chose FHF as I’ve seen the good they do and they are pretty good at management and accountability!
