Which retirement should I pursue, a medical or traditional retirement?

I am due to retire in 5 months from the Guard. But I currently have a 5 year medical waiver that is up for renewal in 1 month. I need advice on if I should just try to medically retire or proceed with regular retirement.

I think you would be better off with medical but you may want to talk with some of the full time folks at your state HQ. When I was in the guard there were a few very knowledgeable people in the G1.

Do the regular retirement and check and see if you qualify for disability to go with it
