Which takes precedence QMP or a Chapter? A battle buddy of mine was selected for QMP, but his unit is trying to chapter him, anyone ?

The chapter will typically take precedence over the QMP. The QMP will allow him to leave with an honorable discharge and basically just a new ETS. The chapter is saying that he does not deserve that.

It depends on why the unit wants to Chapter him. If he continues to be a shit bag and deserves a bad discharge I would chapter him versus letting the Army QMP him. Really it boils down to what you want his DD214 to say.
