Which unit is the best in the military?

I don't mean to give a cliche answer, but the answer really is "the best at what?"

It depends by what definitions you want to go by. For example, you may have a surgical unit that is the best at what they do, alongside a submarine unit that is the best at what they do, alongside an infantry unit that is best at what it does, alongside a unit in a great location that is great for morale. There are endless possibilities.

One can only answer this if the question is really "What is the best unit in the military for XYZ?" and it would be better to be as specific as possible even then.

SFC Watson: You know that is a loaded question, Top. The best unit, in my humble view, is the one that undertakes each mission with excellence, bellyaches the least, is full of battle-proven mentors that -- know 'how it really is,' take care of their own, and value ethics more important than promotions/slots, and of course... is not only a part of our beloved United States Army, but also AIRBORNE, ALL THE WAY! But I digress. :-)
