Some units try and tell you that you have to wear your current unit one while deployed. I had a BDE XO try and tell me I had to wear a certain combat patch and I told him I would wear nothing before I wore the patch he said I had to wear. It wasn't our unit patch it was someone we were attached to.Response by SGM Steve Wettstein made Oct 17 at 2015 11:50 AM2015-10-17T11:50:40-04:002015-10-17T11:50:40-04:001SG Private RallyPoint Member1047135<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>No, but CSMs everywhere will "encourage" you to go a certain way.Response by 1SG Private RallyPoint Member made Oct 17 at 2015 12:23 PM2015-10-17T12:23:43-04:002015-10-17T12:23:43-04:00SSG Kenneth Suarez1047180<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>The short answer is no. The real answer is that while you don't have to submit, there are much more important fights out there. There's no need to stick out for something so low.<br /><br />Besides, you can flex in your As.Response by SSG Kenneth Suarez made Oct 17 at 2015 12:39 PM2015-10-17T12:39:33-04:002015-10-17T12:39:33-04:00MAJ Ronnie Reams8501718<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>No, if you are there, it is not former. No requirement to wear one and if you do choose to do so you may choose the one you wear. I always rotated between 199th Inf Bde and IIFFV.<br /><br />When in RVN, I wore IIFFV on the left and 199th Inf BDE on the right after I transferred.Response by MAJ Ronnie Reams made Oct 5 at 2023 2:33 PM2023-10-05T14:33:46-04:002023-10-05T14:33:46-04:002015-10-17T07:19:57-04:00
