Who are some veterans in business who you personally admire?

I'm researching successful veterans in the business world and how their military service impacted their ability to lead in the private sector. I will leave defining "successful" up to you, but I'd love to hear about veteran business leaders you admire, whether they are Fortune 500 CEO's or small business owners.

I, for one, am a veteran that has taken the Army Core Values to the private sector and have seen much success. I work as a freight broker but mostly, I specialize in arranging POV shipments for individuals. I am currently working with other successful veterans to extend our capabilities in serving both the veteran and current service member communities. The lack of attention to detail and concern for the needs of others above self has left a void us veterans can fill and experience this same success. All we need to do is find our niche and get to work. Character speaks for itself.

I admire the President and CEO of our Financial Services company, Patrick Bet-David. He was an average person, had low grade scores in high school and faced opposition as an immigrant. He and his family fled Iran during the conflict in the 80s and moved to America to escape the war and they settled in Glendale. He decided to join the Army. It was one of the best decisions he ever made. After he separated the service, he went into financial services. He has since launched his own company, People Helping People.

What started out as a small group of 6 agents has now grown to over 12,000 agents across the nation in a span of 4 years! This man commands respect and your undivided attention.
