Also, I gave a coin to a JROTC Instructor, and she was so emotional about it - she had not been coined in a long time. She was not expecting it, but she had over 60 High School students help with decorating the Cemetery for Memorial Day - on a Saturday. Then she got special permission from the HS Principal to excuse the students do the entire cleanup the day after Memorial Day (0600-1200). Wow it was amazing! I took the question a different way, and was thinking who in the world would coin a JROTC cadet? Do they even have coins, and they can't be old enough to buy you a drink if they didn't have their coin anyway. :) Response by LTC Private RallyPoint Member made May 10 at 2016 6:42 PM 2016-05-10T18:42:06-04:00 2016-05-10T18:42:06-04:00 1stSgt Private RallyPoint Member 1517971 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Absolutely its a motivational tool when used properly. These JROTC Cadets may be future leaders and this is a great way to inspire and motivate, especially if they understand the significance of being coined. I've coined a lot of people over the years with my unit or organization's coins and told them what it means if they did not know. I love positive reinforcement and a simple gesture like giving your coin to someone goes a long way.
