Who did you look up to the most when you served? What did you learn from that person?

My father who was a WWII marine and fought on Iwo Jima. I learned self reliance, hard work and respect from him but most of all he passed on patriotism to me and my siblings. My father passed away in 1999 but his legacy of of service lives on through all 5 of his children and his 11 grandchildren.

I'm not unto absolutes.
But am able to say that collectively, things have been learned from my immediate Leadership, and Joes who got experience they were willing to share with me when I joined the unit.
