Who do I speak to in the VA about a veteran who has brought drugs into my community? Who should I be talking to about this situation in the VA? I believe this other Veteran Needs some mental help, and rehab for the Obvious drug problem. With all these negative people coming around, I am doing my best with my Military Bearing, and keeping my cool, but even I have limits. 6 months of this, and nothing is still done about this guy. Who do I talk to? how can I get some Help? Or should I just pack my bags, and move 2 weeks from my hip surgery? I don't think I can keep my Bearing after surgery. could someone please give me some insight? The VA or HUD don't chaperone or patrol properties like that. It's a law enforcement function. If the property or owners are doing illegal things it would have to be adjudicated in court before the VA or HUD would remove them from the program. Nobody here can tell you to leave or stay because we aren't there seeing what you see. But I would lean into the law and call the police on them if they are breaking it. That would be through the VA Medical Center in your area. You are going to run into privacy issues. Local law enforcement might be your best contact. Very carefully, of course.
Last I knew, VASH actually favored convicted veteran felons. Law abiding women who served were the lowest priority. The only bar nationwide was arson, and only a few states excluded registered sex offenders. The Court Ruled that the guy and his friends have until the 7th of next month to get out. Last night they were doing drugs again, so much so that it was seeping through my walls, and into my apartment. I got sick last night during their drug party because of how much seeped into my apartment. the 7th cannot get here soon enough! I am having surgery in 2 days, and was about ready to abandon living here in this apartment, even though I have Literally no where else to go. I of course called the police, and they said there is nothing they can do about it, without evidence they are doing the drugs. I guess the sense of Smell doesn't fall under reasonable suspicion. Meth has a pretty distinct Smell. anyway I hope they figure out what they are doing is wrong, and change their ways and get the help they need.
