I had a break in service for 10 days short of 4 years between 1967-1971 when I reentered and was granted 2 years making it 6 years of pay for my inactive reserve time. When I retired in 86 with 20 active years I received retirement pay for 22 years. As a paramedic I went to work with a state run Childrens Hospital in OKC as a flight Paramedic with their Helicopter service. After being with them for 2 years we had a change in Governors and due to funding cuts I was laid off. That was 35 years ago I retired from the military.
