Who has solid enough knowledge about Drupal to compare it against WordPress?

Drupal is WP on steroids. With Drupal you can create multiple sites and deploy at once with more complex template structures. Say you have a business and under that business child business that are under the umbrella company. You can have a corporate HQ with child companies that you can style differently but seamlessly manage from one instance of Drupal. A lot of government agencies are using Drupal as its scalable, and open source and runs on SQL Server.

PV2 (Join to see) - With WordPress, I create subdomains and they all use MySQL. However, I know nothing about being able to manage different subdomains from a single interface. Are there issues with using Drupal with MySQL ?
