Who in my unit can write me a Letter of good standing?

My whole brigade was deployed with about 8 battalions attached to it. I recently just came back from overseas but 80% of us is still overseas including my chain of command. They are busy trying to prepare to come home and I emailed them several times and got no reply yet from my 1SG, commander and readiness NCO. Can someone else in my unit write me a letter of good standing for my national guard unit? The job I’m applying tO at MEMPHIS PD already have my DD214 and I’m still on leave til the 26 of this month. So what do I need to do to help my situation or contact?

Sometimes in situations like that, make sure you have something done in proper memorandum format, write the recommendation yourself, put in the commander signature block and asked that he please sign it and return it. Obviously sent to the proper chain of command.

SGT Eric Davis i was often tasked to write on behalf of the General when I was his aid. A quick glance, a signature and it was done. Make sure the info is accurate.
