Who is going to re-enlist with their branch of service with all of the cuts the Pentgon is making??

I certainly joined the military to serve my country.  However, the bottom line is I still have a family to feed.  If I can do that while serving, great.  If I can not then I will move onto something that will allow me to support my family in the manner I think they deserve.  Considering that I am part of the 1% that serves our military I don't think anyone can question my service or question whether I gave back to my country.  Anyone serving today has done more than 99% of our population.  The fact that our countries government can not take care of the 1% who willingly put their lives at risk speaks volumes about how much they really think about our service. 

If I were a service-member under 10 years, I'd ensure I earned my degree, go through the service's transition service office and leave the service.

It's not about the pay or benefits, it's about broken promises, uncertainty, being political pawns and the vast opportunities outside of public service (for qualified people) that would attract me.

I'm an active Army Career Counselor and I'd tell any qualified Soldier/NCO the same thing.

if I make it through this then I will retire through the military. regardless of what challenge is put in front of us though, I will do everything in my power to show the higher ups that im worthy of staying
