My father was in WWII, so that's two since my son is in the Navy now. No consistency in branch, my Father was Army Air Corp/Air Force, I was Army/Army National Guard, and my son is Navy.

PVT Leighton Bader My father was AAC during WW II, followed by USAF for 28 years total from 1928 to 1956. I was US Army for one enlistment as radar repairer. One younger brother served US Navy for 11 years CT rate. One daughter was US Army for 10 years as watercraft engineer. Three generations. Had one uncle on dad's side as AAC pilot during WW II.

Side note - a great uncle in the Infantry during WW I, and some unidentified ancestors during the Civil War.

No one in my family, but my grandfather in-law (wife's grandfather on her mom's side) was on board the USS Enterprise when the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor.

My father was a WWII veteran - U.S. Army Air Corps. My maternal grandfather was also a WWII veteran, but he was in the Luftwaffe and served in an anti-aircraft battery. I joke that if my grandfather had been a better marksman, I would probably not be here today.

My Great Great Grandfather was in the Revenue Cutter Service, my Grandfather served on a sub, the USS Brill in WW2, my Great Uncle was a Marine at Iwo Jima in WW2, my father served in the Army, my only Uncle served in the Air Force, my brother served in the Army and I have two active duty sons serving in the Army right now, one currently deployed and one stationed in Germany.

Maternal Grandfather served in WWII as a Corpsmen European theater, Father worked in a Dental Lab in Pirmasens '51-'52. Father in Law was a Radioman in the Pacific theater during WWII(Philippines when MacArthur returned). Wife was personnel clerk.

Had four uncles and at least one cousin in WWII. My paternal grandparents had a four star serving banner during WWII. My parents had a three star banner during Vietnam. We have a single star displayed for the current conflicts. Of the eight service members represented, seven served in combat zones, four served in direct combat and those four received seven Purple Hearts.

Both my grandfathers served but not during a time that saw them deployed, same for my uncle. I believe I had a couple relatives serve in WW1, but not too sure about that.

Long line of military members, but Great Grandfather joined at 38 and served in WWII. Got blown off his gun mount by a kamikaze pilot, broke his back and exited the service 4 inches shorter than he entered.

To add to that, Grandfather, Father, Brother, 2 Uncles. All on Dad's side

Mom's side has a Korean Vet, and a Desert Storm Corpsman.

My father and mother both served during WWII but neither left CONUS. Dad was Army, mom was in the WAVES. (You didn't ask but I had an uncle in the Army during WWI.)

My grandpa served during World War II. He enlisted on Aug. 31, 1944, and was honorably discharged as a seaman second class on June 27, 1946. He served aboard the USS Saint Croix and USS CDLUSA Pa. 74. He received the Pacific Theater and American Theater Ribbons and the Victory Medal.

Father spent the whole WWII in the Navy, Grandfather spent the whole WWI in the Navy, he also spent the whole WWII as a POW in Japan.

Every male in my family back 5 generations (maternal and paternal sides) to the 1840's has served in the military; US, Mexican, Spanish or British. Plus my mom was an US Army Nurse during WWII and the Korean War. I don't know before that.

PVT Leighton Bader, my father and all three of my uncles (one paternal and two maternal) served during WWII. My father was in the Navy and all of my uncles served in the Army.

My Uncles: Richard and Gramp Stevens and Raul and Philip St.Cyr were all WWII veterans. Richard was an Infantryman, Gramp was Artillery, Philip was an MP. and Raul was a Seabee. My Great Uncles: Everett Calkins and Sarto, and Oscar Lizotte were also WWII veterans. Sart and Oscar were Infantrymen and Everett was in the Navy on a destroyer.

My Father who did make it back from WWII was in the Field Artillery 45th Div. he was in Africa and stayed with them all the way through Italy and into the Camps in Germany he brought back pictures of the bodies piled up because people wouldn't believe his letters home about it. I have those pics...
There is a LOT More. My Great Grandfather fought in the Battle of Antietam and many many others! I have a Newspaper interview of him in his 90's in the early 1920's... Also Pictures so I could contribute to your book if you're interested.
