I've always told that the person recommending someone for AR 15 was responsible for extra duty watch. Is there a regulation that covers this situation?

As MSG (Join to see) stated, I've normally seen the CQ take responsibility for the service members serving on extra duty. I know during my time, it was part of the briefing the 1SG would have with the incoming CQ NCO. However, I don't think this removes the service member's supervisor from having to take responsibility to check in on his/her Soldier while they serve out their extra duty. The NCO Support Channel of that Soldier should take a very active role in ensuring that the Soldier is taken care of while serving out this duty. To just pass the buck off to the CQ shows the Soldier a lack of support from his/her NCOs and could result in repeating behavior.

Since the AF doesn't really have CQ, it is normally up to the owning Flight/Duty Section to find an NCO to pull watch duty for the member pulling extra duty.

It was our CQ was in charge of us. First Sergeant and the commander left thing s that needed done for the next day and we did it. Hell we even had top out there helping us tear out the cactus' in front of the company area. Hell we got a week cut off our sentences for that and my squad leader was pissed!
