Jose Feliciano - Flight of The Bumble Bee [Bumblebee]
Jose Feliciano - Flight of The Bumble Bee
Ok, I play drums, that being said, I get amazed pretty easy with guitarists. To put it in perspective, some of you would dare to say that Lars Ulrich (Metallica) or Tommy Lee (Mötley Crüe) are "GREAT" drummers, last one wast awarded the Worst Drummer of the Century. But, I wont get there, let's keep it in the chords world.
I started listening to Dream Theater like 10 years ago and John Petrucci sounded just amazing, considered one of the best and fastest in the world. Keith Richard, just the fact that he has been playing for more than 50 years now just makes him one of the best. Jimi Hendrix, do I have to say something about him? And José Feliciano, well, I'll admit that I'm biased with him just because of the fact that he is Puerto Rican but still, he is great. He won the Grammy for Best New Artist the same year that Hendrix came out (1968). Keith Richard himself admitted that Feliciano is better than him on the guitar, that's a lot to say coming from a living legend. And I won't even add his blindness to his skill set, let's keep it musical.
I know there are hundreds of great guitarists, and I know is hard to pick one over other just because the styles and techniques are different but, if you have to pick just one as your favorite guitarist, who would it be?

SFC (Join to see) I heard Yngwie can play 23 notes/sec? I don't know if it is true or not but, sounds incredible!

SGT Craig Northacker is already there in the options but, if you're not convinced yet, ok, it doesn't let me paste it. Go to YouTube and look for Jose Feliciano 5 Instruments.

I played in a rock band on high school and afterwards until I joined the Air Force. I played a little on active duty, but nothing serious. Now I've started playing classical guitar, mostly to fight arthritis, but it is fun.

SSG (Join to see) is a lil' off the topic but, that guy is out of tis planet. If you see his discography, it goes from Chick Corea (Jazz), to Alejandro Sanz (Latin), to Megadeth, Kiss tributes, the list goes on and on. One of my Top 5 drummers.

I thank Metallica everyday for kicking Dave Mustaine out of that band! Now he can do his own awesomeness without Metallica holding him back. Megadeth is way better in my opinion!

SGT Mark Clark - I could not agree with you more! I am not a big fan of Metallica anyway, but they lost out when they let Mustaine go!
