My first introduction to chewing gum was in packages of baseball cards in the early 1960's when they included a thin but wide stick of nearly tasteless gum. I liked chewing bubble gum like Bazooka, Double Bubble and Swell gum but could never blow bubbles with bubble gum. I admit I was somewhat jealous of those who could blow bubbles :-)
As a teenager I liked spearmint gum, wintergreen gum and tea-berry but never sure what that was :-)

I was in the store today and thought about your question when I was standing at the checkout and saw a display of candy and gum. I bought a pack and chewed a piece on the way home!
