It may well be a translation from another language where Islam in its true form is not radical. <br />I did a little research and it seems that radical Islam may well have been coined around the time that Wahhabi doctrinal form of Islam appeared on the scene in Saudi Arabia so that by the 1920s it had been coined [in Arabic most likely.]<br />Christianity is after all very radical in its pure sense; but, not as a threat to others.
