At least, that is my understanding.Response by MSG Private RallyPoint Member made Sep 6 at 2016 4:18 PM2016-09-06T16:18:43-04:002016-09-06T16:18:43-04:00MAJ Private RallyPoint Member1868714<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>you might have to do a little research to find the correct POC but this is what I did to get one of my LT's off to BOLC in a timely manner...I had to contact the NGB Branch Manager and have them put him In school...they way it was explained to me is that NGB not the state pays for initial MOSQ training for officers so in essence your state has trouble getting slots because this is supposed to be an NGB function....I'm sure someone here will correct me if I've given improper guidance but my LT got off to school once I called around at NGB and was able to put him in touch with the correct POC. Start with your unit training NCO then work it from there....odds are that ROTC had no visibility on you once you've been accessed into the national guard. Luckily you posted here on rally point and there are many great officers and NCOs who can help you! Good luck.Response by MAJ Private RallyPoint Member made Sep 6 at 2016 6:53 PM2016-09-06T18:53:17-04:002016-09-06T18:53:17-04:00CPT Private RallyPoint Member1869464<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>That's ridiculous. It's federally funded since its BOLC, but the state pays your travel I'm pretty sure. Check with your branch manager.Response by CPT Private RallyPoint Member made Sep 6 at 2016 11:39 PM2016-09-06T23:39:28-04:002016-09-06T23:39:28-04:00SFC Derek Ashman1874194<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>It is your Guard unit that will schedule your BOLC dateResponse by SFC Derek Ashman made Sep 8 at 2016 2:40 PM2016-09-08T14:40:08-04:002016-09-08T14:40:08-04:001LT Private RallyPoint Member1884075<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>If your currently or going to the guard, YOU as the individual have the sole responsibility of calling the NGB QM/OD/TC Branch Manager based on FT Lee VA. Her name is Ms. Barbra Williams. Just make sure that you have 3 Bolc Dates on hand. Also, she issues you your BOLC orders.Response by 1LT Private RallyPoint Member made Sep 12 at 2016 2:42 AM2016-09-12T02:42:24-04:002016-09-12T02:42:24-04:001LT Private RallyPoint Member1885158<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>One of the full-timers back at your unit will square you away with a date for BOLC. Typically its your Training NCO that would do this for you. Let them know you'd like to schedule it but come prepared to have alternative dates in mind as registering for these courses is done months in advance.Response by 1LT Private RallyPoint Member made Sep 12 at 2016 1:47 PM2016-09-12T13:47:00-04:002016-09-12T13:47:00-04:002LT Private RallyPoint Member2581298<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I'm having the same issue in regards to BOLC. Frankly, I tried calling the Branch Manager Barbara Williams and emailed multiple times with no responses whatsoever. <br />I haven't even been assigned a specific unit so it's entirely a mess when you're not Active Duty.Response by 2LT Private RallyPoint Member made May 18 at 2017 11:25 PM2017-05-18T23:25:12-04:002017-05-18T23:25:12-04:001LT Private RallyPoint Member2918770<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Continue to call Mrs. Williams. After you call and leave her a message, send her a follow-up email stating that you have called with no luck.
