Hi. I'm currently in the process of switching from reserve to active duty Air Force. I was wondering if any of you has experience with the conditional release form. My recruiter doesn't know which section my commander has to sign. What I need to know is who signs the "Authorizing Official" section and who signs the "Certifying Official" section.

The one you are worried about is section II, Approval or Disapproval. The authority to release a soldier is generally the first 1 star general in your chain of command. Section III is for the gaining Service, who is swears you in and signs off on your enlistment. Your recruiter needs to learn how to read, the instructions are at the bottom of the page.

I find it interesting that your Recruiter has no experience with this form. Let alone your Recruiter not sending an RFI to their boss for assistance/clarification

MSG (Join to see) I agree, sir. Every recruiter I have worked with has been able to find this answer. SrA Rebecca Jaffee, is the recruiter you're working with lower level, or are you working w/ one in office supervision level? I know in my fight to get back in, most of my cases have had to get bumped up to the office MSgt.

When you go AF component to AF Component, you don't use a 368. You use the AF Form 1288. Your recruiter should know that.
