The field needs to be winnowed down. Unfortunately, there will be some qualified candidates who will have to drop out. There are quite a few that I wonder why they decided to try and run this time vs. waiting a couple of campaigns.

I think some of these candidates for President have to know they have two chances to win the Republican Primary (1) SLIM & (2) NONE... Colonel...
They are just in it for the attention and chance to be on TV & rant and rave about themselves .. Graham & Santorum are example of this

Sgt Tom Cunnally - You are correct. Either their egos were so big that they thought that the polls were completely wrong or they are looking for attention. Santorum couldn't win 4 years ago when the field was much weaker. I think that John Kasich(?) will come on stronger but I don't' see Jeb Bush, Scott Walker, Jindal, Chris Christie, or Rand Paul going on too much longer.

COL Jon Thompson - Christie lost his cool today on Meet The Press, Colonel
Chuck Todd really got under his skin with questions about New Jersey ..I thought we were going to see a fist fight but MSNBC went to commercial and probably told Christie to cool it or else be tossed off the TV set..

I am very impressed with Marco Rubio ..but don't agree with him about Cuba. I really enjoyed the time I spent in Cuba and think it is time for us to lift the sanctions on this poor country. BTW the Cubans treated us Marines very well

I think Repubs with less than 5% in the polls hanging on is ridiculous. They are all an insult to our intelligence with no chance to be elected as the Repub nominee next fall..
When Fiorina says she is a "Strong Leader".. it makes my stomach turn... And Santorum says " I've been written off before but came back ".... Or Graham says I have the most foreign policy experience" is a farce.. Pataki says he can work with Democrats and is a proven leader...But he watched on the sidelines while Rudi Giuliani took control of NYC after 9/11.

BTW I am a Reagan Democrat...just saying...
