I have posted QUESTIONS and some administrator(s) have repeatedly changed them from questions to "update" that nobody sees and is a form of censorship. I used to get an email when there were changes to my discussions and who updated them. Now I just notice they all disappeared and I realize they are now updates. Why the change in policy? Why are they selectively censoring us?

LTC (Join to see) - I'll say it, I'm one of the admins that changes some of your questions to updates and I stand by my decision to do so. The choice to convert something from a question to an update is not based on censoring anyone. In fact, I think as forums go, RallyPoint is one of the least restrictive when it comes to allowing people to voice their thoughts and ideas but the reason for converting your "questions" to updates is based on standards clearly outlined in the 3.1 document available to all to read.
The reason that most of your recent posts have been converted is because your questions fail to meet the standard for the answer forum. The answer forum is reserved for questions dealing with military/veteran related material. Earlier today, you post something in the forum labeled "Why?". That was converted because (1) the question was not related to military/veterans and (2) the question fell more into what we label the 'hey talk to me' stuff. And I'll be 100% honest, this post is in that area too but for now, I'm letting it stay because I want people to see that we are not censoring anyone.
You, more than most with your prior exposure to being a RallyPoint admin need to remember, there are only a handful of User Admins that volunteer our time to watch over the forum. We have been called everything from "great" to the "the RP Police". We work tirelessly to maintain this community for the now 1.1+ million members. We do not capture all the issues and I know some "questions" stay in the forum that should be updates; heck I converted one question from last week that should have never seen the forums but because of the volume we see here, it got missed.
So with all that said, I just hope you and other realize that RallyPoint is not into censoring. We want this to remain a welcoming and professional place where service members and veterans can come to voice their ideas and ask their questions. User Admins like LTC Kevin B., SGM Erik Marquez, SrA Edward Vong, MSgt (Join to see), SSG James J. Palmer IV aka "JP4", SSG Carlos Madden and myself are here for you and the community not to fight against you.

COL Charles Williams - It's easy, I just don't sleep...LOL. In all seriousness, I don't do alone. It's truly a collective effort by all active User Admins, some of whom I named. I truly enjoy "working" as a Senior User Admin. I'm one of the few that have the ability to verify new members and so I get to learn a little about almost every new member that joins this site. One quick story is last week I was going through the verification requests and a member submitted a copy of his Bronze Star with a V Device orders for actions taken in Vietnam. He was very humble about the whole thing but I couldn't resit the urge to read the full document and I was blown away. Most of the time, I spent just a few seconds on each request but this once held onto me for a while and continues to do so.

Major, I have also had some issues with the Admins on this site, actually got kicked for a year then they asked me to come back. I am actually reconsidering my status on RP. I joined to connect with Military members and share some of my experiences as a veteran. It seems like there are a lot of unrelated post and a lot of political bickering. I have other social media accounts for that.

I would also like to know why they change something if for no other reason to help me learn what I should be doing. When they change something and don't tell me why I don't learn anything about how to make a proper disscussion.

SSG (Join to see) - You 'should' receive an email every time one of the admins make any change to your posts. We do have a "skip email" option but I only use that if I mess up a change; for example I retype a title and see a word I misspelled.
This question still appears in the forum. You may not see it in your feed based on where you look but if you click on Answers and then select new that will give you a list of all questions posted by date starting with newest first.

SGT Ben Keen - Not something I do much but I asked a question and for whatever reason I did not get any notification and I have seen things change and don't know why I don't know all of the ins and out about what goes where and not seeing why things change leaves me confused. Thank you for giving this information about how Admins think and act.
