Why are people allowed to disrespect RP member admins?

I've noticed on more than one occasion extreme levels of disrespect. It bothers me tremendously that when the administration tries to keep this site "professional" they are reprimanded. Why have admins if they can't do their "jobs?"

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Quite a few of us have been taking some much needed mental hygiene days off, but I HAD to thank you for sending a shotout of support. Talk about a thankless job. The only way to truly understand what these volunteers do and put up with is to do it dday in and day out. It can't be summarized in a standard complaint form or to document each and every situation. It is just a nightmare most of the time. Keeping an even temperment when you are called every name in the book is tiresome, but seeing members disrespect each other is facebook freedom of speech. I've been laying low since cinco de mayo and hope to see some changes made before I even consider doing any more admin work. For you die hard admins still fighting the good fight, I take my hat off to you. Now, back to studying Japanese and watching History channel.......

This is certainly not the RallyPoint I joined. The attacks have gotten far more vicious and personal. I didn't sign up to get treated that way. Just because we have differences of opinions doesn't make us bad people. It makes us different. If we were all the same we would be boring. But to be called racist and sexist names, having your service questioned, and being told to go back in the kitchen. That's definitely uncalled for. I know I am not alone when I say this, but I don't feel the staff truly cares as we are free labor. Well I'm no one's free labor anymore! Thank you for your support and your husband is super awesome and a great friend.

I think this site is very good. BUT, there is and always will be some who abuse it.

That said, this guy went WAY over the boundaries. I hope that I never see a post from him again.

I even think RP should pursue this further even to the point of criminal charges if possible. We should not in any way tolerate losing good people because of scum like this.

I can't believe what is going on and I was unaware of it to. I thought we are all grown-ups here on RP and professionals to boot.

My hats off to all the admin on this site. I am an admin on a toy collecting forum and I know how it can get sometimes. You haven't seen anything till you seen grown men/woman fight over toys.

Anyways, keep up the good work. This site would not function the same without you all.

Unfortunately, not all of us are grownups here. There are those that include field grade officers that want to skate the line of insults, then complain when they get responded to in ways they don't like, or not in the timeframe they'd like.

There are those who will insist that someone's moral compass is broken just for asking a legitimate question, and then complain when they get a harsh response in return.

Respect goes two ways, and I'm thinking I would not blame the hard working volunteer member admins here if they decided to just walk away. TSgt Hunter Logan PV2 Private RallyPoint Member SFC Mark Merino ....and all the rest.

This is absolutely correct. All I can say is that there seems to be a LOT of immature people that just throw fits cuz they can't get or say what they want. Some of what I have seen has been SO DISGUSTING!! And those that are admins should have a little more power than what they have. It's not a lot to ask for. I hope people get their act together because some GREAT people will start leaving because of the disrespectfulness in general. To all MEMBERS

I've seen a lot of people think since that they are on a cpu that they can lose their minds and all military bearing since they are not face to face they can say what they want.. I can't wait till one pcs right under the leadership of someone they told off. It's a smallll world!

All RallyPoint members, veterans, and service members are worthy of respect and should be treated with respect. Unfortunately that is not always the case both on RallyPoint and in the "real world."
It is unconscionable when RallyPoint volunteer admin members are disrespected while performing their duties. Anybody performing service in the line of duty is to be commended.
To be honest I do not really know who the admin members are. I know the ones who have contacted me or responded to my questions to RallyPoint support. I have been consistently impressed with the professionalism, courtesy and willingness to help from each and every admin and support staff member who has contacted me or responded to my questions.

I don't understand why anyone would be disrespectful on here. It is like they get some sort of rush off of being turds. It is the culture of today in regard to the internet. There are no real consequences for them so they enjoy getting away with it.

I am completely with you on this topic. It is a shame that the Admins get thrown under the bus. Unfortunately I saw it way to often in the military too, no one wants to take personal responsibility for their own actions and how it will effect another, they are quick to belittle those that try to do "damage control" and make a better environment for the whole group.

I would rather they say it here where brothers in arms can call them out on it than spew that vomit where an adoring public may think that is how all veterans feel. Take the high road, you may be talking someone down from the ledge without realizing it.
