Why are there so many posts about the exact same thing/topic? I thought RP monitored topics.

It's amusing that you ask that, because recently when I put in my own question, I typed in the keywords and there were zero similar discussions going on. But as soon as I posted my question, the similar discussions block on the right hand side listed half a dozen discussions all regarding the same topic. It could simply be a glitch in the search parameters. I wouldn't say that the topics aren't being monitored, more likely the discussions aren't searchable.

From what I remember back when I was an admin here the amount of butthurt ensuing from merging topics was unreal. Admins do watch for this, but they're here on a volunteer basis and can't catch them all. Some slip through the cracks, and once they've developed a life of their own generally they stay up even if they are near identical to another topic.

I agree, SGT (Join to see) - But I have also had personal dealings with a one particular headhunter who wore his Admin stars like a badge of armor. I showed up once on his radar, and there I stayed. Though every man in prison will tell you he's innocent, I KNOW that my questions were not even close to being the same, though the topic was identical. That's why this whole topic pisses me off when I see Admins participating in different posts that a blind man could see are identical.
