Local VA told me unless I have a medical issue I don’t need one. The personnel who issue the ID cards would have no way of knowing your medical history anyway because of HIPAA. One information and another that may help. Your local VA is wrong and they are also stupid. All veterans are entitled to a Veteran&#39;s ID Card. Please contact the VA HQ that maight be able to help. Another option is to contact a VFW or DAV Veteran Service Officer that can help.
