After preparing meals for Soldiers; we go and train beside them and do it all over again daily. As 92G's we earn many accolades outside of our MOS as well. I was proud of everything I did during deployments. Post Army the transition couldn't of been better. Right off the bat picked up a great paying job in management working in a prison kitchen which lead to a better job working in a federal prison kitchen. Absolutely happy with everything I did and wouldn't of changed a thing. I can't name them all but, cooking and providing some great meals to the warfighter is the most memorable moment for me. Seeing them eat a meal that we've prepared and actually enjoying it is where it's at!

As a Food Service Specialist (Culinarian) we have some of the best Special Programs in the Military. From providing VIP Service on a Gulfstream to Cooking for the POTUS himself...to name a few. We are by far from the bottom of the food chain.

We must embrace this profession that we picked for ourselves. Have a sense of pride in all that we do and will do for the warfighter. Could be a hell of a lot worst. While I deployed back in '10 I was a crew serve gunner in a security detachment with the infantry and MPs. We are the jack of all trades. Yes our hours might suck at times and dealing with tasks at the company is a headache and a half due to our schedule and mission but in the end every job has its ups and downs. We are a family, we get through it, we always do. Is one of the most rewarding MOS's in the Army. I had worked in hospitality prior to joining the Army. But it has been blessing. The Soldiers, I have served and the experiences we create are very unique. Food is primal it creates and molds traditions. Seeing a Soldier find some peace and motivation during chow makes it all the worth while. Thank you to my brothers and sisters who serve those who's serve. It is the best service of its kind.
