Why did my records not update?

The end of last month I made the E6 list. However, every Army system still shows me as an SGT as of today. I reached out to a few SSGs and each one said all their records automatically updated on the 1st when they promoted. I'm currently on a CONUS "deployment" and the unit isn't responding to our inquiries as to what happened. As a side note, Brigade will almost certainly not write up the promotion orders because we have had multiple promotions throughout the years and Brigade refuses to write up the orders.

You just take your promotion orders to finance.
If your unit refuses to produce Promotion Orders then you file an IG complaint

Until they cut promotion orders. You are still a Sgt. You need to develop patience. It will come.

Let's be clear. You've "made the list"? To me, that means you've been boarded and recommended for promotion. Have cutoff scores dropped to a level where you are to be promoted? That's a different situation. Start with your chain of command and ask when you may expect orders. Use the IG if your chain of command is not responsive.

Question. Is E-6 Still a Bn promotion or is it Brigade/Regiment?
