With that being said if I ever have a child and they're in a school district that makes them go to school on Veteran's Day, I will tell them my child will not be attending school on Veteran's Day because him/her will be out honoring the Veterans of the Armed Forces.Response by SSG(P) Private RallyPoint Member made Nov 8 at 2014 12:18 AM2014-11-08T00:18:11-05:002014-11-08T00:18:11-05:001SG Mike Case316825<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I think children are out of school too much as it is. I don't need my child out of school for him to understand the importance of Veteran's, Memorial, or MLK Day. Why is the importance of what a child should know about what MLK did, only good for one day? Why only honor veternas for one day? I understand what you are saying, I do, but I don't care what importance someone else places on those days.Response by 1SG Mike Case made Nov 8 at 2014 11:00 AM2014-11-08T11:00:25-05:002014-11-08T11:00:25-05:00TSgt Joshua Copeland316980<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>My kids had off on election day (last week) be go to school on veterans day. In AZ my kids have the day off; however, I have a friends in FL and their kids go to school. I used to think every school should take the day off until I heard what they were doing in some districts. The educate the kids on the importance of our Vets and service to your country, then they host parents to an assembly and the Vets are honored at the school. Great teaching moment.Response by SPC Chin Lee made Nov 12 at 2014 4:10 PM2014-11-12T16:10:22-05:002014-11-12T16:10:22-05:00SrA Private RallyPoint Member1091782<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I find if disrespectful that kids are deprived the chance to learn about veteransResponse by SrA Private RallyPoint Member made Nov 6 at 2015 7:44 AM2015-11-06T07:44:30-05:002015-11-06T07:44:30-05:00Jacks Johnzon7112589<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div><a target="_blank" href="https://focusoilfilter.com/">https://focusoilfilter.com/</a> <div class="pta-link-card answers-template-image type-default">
