Why do people force the lifestyle of children on everyone?

There are more men & women who are coming to terms with a Child Free life for many reasons. Now that I am on the other side of the fence as a Dependent it seems like this life is, if you're not one of us you don't belong.

There are many pages for Moms, dads, kid play dates but when someone created a "Child Free" Page for the Military base here moms freaked out & "attacked" the women.

As someone who is child free, I'm wishing a understanding or comfort for lack of words why living a Child Free life is so offending.

It is up to the woman or couple. Its wrong to admonish someone for making a choice whether to have or not to have children. This is a democracy.

Forced to have children? Sounds a little overstated.

If one is so unsure that the opinions of others become a mandate, one needs to examine one's life a motives a bit.

*lol*.....I could have predicted the response. Whether on social media or in person, there are plenty of idiots who don't respect boundaries and want to tell you how to live your life, but will bristle if they get it in turn.

I'm going to be 48 tomorrow. I'm still getting pressure from my family to adopt a child.

There are a few people who became parents that should not have, they had failed in their duties to teach there children any values or abused the children. Raising Children isn't for everybody and its not something You should decide based on what others want. One man i know said "I'm to selfish to be involved with raising children, I would not make a good Father, his wife felt the same about being a Mother. " There are other reasons, career or personal reasons not to be a parent. There are people their through Biology or adoption that make very good Parents and truly want to do their best and usually do. Keep in mind if Your going to raise children be ready to take on ALL the responsibility that goes with it or don't even think of it. Don't let anyone drive You to do what You don't wish to do, they aren't living Your life, You are. I have no problem with people that make their own choices in how they live their own life, its not My concern nor should it be and I don't need anyone telling Me how to live My Life. I chose to have Children and now Have Grandchildren but that was a choice only for Me and My Wife, no one else.
