I have tried to research it but I cannot find a clear answer. I am looking into trying out for the German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge. The first as stated is awarded for Marksmanship with a pistol, rifle and machine gun while the proficiency badge is awarded for completion of a basic fitness test with several events and military training which includes a 100 meter swim for time, first aid, pistol qualification and ruck march for time and distance.
