OOF...good question.
I've asked probably 100 people and got 100 different answers.

Here is what I tell anyone - did you assign an Advocate organization (i.e. - VFW, etc.) to look at your file as it went through the process?

I did the initial paperwork myself first which I received a denial letter but I was listed as disable with 0% compensation I then assigned a DAV rep to handle my case in early May of this year but haven't heard anything back as of yet. I filed my claim on July 4th if 2011 and I'm still waiting to get above the 0% rating that they have assigned to me. I'm assuming if I would have went through the DAV or the VFW from the start I would have a different rating by now . What I have learned so far is research , research and research some more until Jesus come back and I will not stop the fight, I will continue to push on.

Let me make sure I understand what happened.... OK you were discharged from the Army with a 0% rating - is that correct? And later you asked the VA for a rating and the VA returned a denial letter? Please let me know. Also....if you'd rather we can use private email for this discussion if you prefer.
