Why does RallyPoint completely change the titles of a post? Sometimes when it is changed it loses the meaning and intent of the original post. For example I posted a question about people's favorite dumb criminals with an example. It was changed to a post about that video. I understand fixing grammar. I do not understand completely changing the purpose and intent of the post. Thank you

Many times it is not that an Admin has changed the title, it is the "question" posted did not meet the guidence and rules for posting a question, so it is converted to a shared link.. The software automatically and without user control assigned a title taken from the shared link source.

If a user finds they have posts being converted to a shared link..perhaps they might look to the resource and support center and research what makes a good and valid question here at RP.

SSG Pete Fleming - The system does not automatically change posts. If a I member posts a question in which the question is not about the link that was posted (as you mentioned above), then the policy is to change it to no longer be a question. For you would like to posts links, just use "share link." If you would like to post questions, just post the question. You posted a link and asked a question which was not about the link. That's why it was changed.

LTC Yinon Weiss - Ok, sir thank you for the reply. I will admit, it seems a little confusing but if that is the way it is... Thanks again

SSG Pete Fleming - No problem. I think referring to our guideline on questions might be helpful. In particular, note rule #3, "Do not post URL links, use the 'Share Link' option instead." http://support.rallypoint.com/customer/portal/articles/1495555

The only time we make exceptions for links in question is if the link is of material and direct support to a question. More often than not, somebody just wants to share a link, and that is why we built the ability to share links...

LTC Yinon Weiss - Not to beat a dead horse... but my intention was not to share a link but as support to the question... thank you for you assistance (and patience)

Because "they" know better what you want and intended than you do.
