Thanks, I saw that, Sgt Tom Cunnally. Do you think that going to war against Syria (and all the countries and all the people around the globe who would join in) is going to make America a prosperous, safe and secure place to live?

Capt Michael Greene - Yes if it means wiping ISIS off the map. Destroy ISIS's central command structure and it's networks & we could well feel safer and secure ...IMHO.

Sgt Tom Cunnally - Maybe so. It's a risk that we don't have to take. We never should have invaded the Middle East in the first place. They were happy killing each other.

Gen Dunford and Security Advisor Clapper briefed Obama on the latest terror threats from ISIS. But Obama doesn't seem to be listening to them about the threats to our National Security. We need to know what Obama is doing about this threat. We have had six attacks by Islamic Terrorists in the USA over the past few years. Is Obama really paying attention to Islamic Terrorists in the USA?

Would like to know what Gen Dunford is thinking now from his position on the inside.

Simple. Because we're stupid and stubborn and aren't open to new ideas. Himself and his self-appointed czars (who have never served a day in uniform) are much smarter then we'll ever be.

I appeal to both their education and their long experience. And now I'll point out that the view from the ground, while both unique and important, is quite limited. The view from a Situation Room incorporates all the thousands of views from the ground, with experienced analysts to give it context, too.

Remember, the military is not the thing itself. We don't even work to get toward a national goal. Our military goal is just one piece of a global strategy and we are just one tool of many. I would laugh if a statesman were asked to prepare a missile for launch, but I would also laugh if a missileman were asked to negotiate a SOFA with a country.

Capt Michael Greene - Ask yourself if Obama is correctly managing the war vs ISIS by directing and coordinating the Pentagon, State Dept, CIA, & FBI & allies in the regions to defeat this threat to our homeland. You're seeing Obama's foreign policies come under attack by his administration & retired Military which is very troubling to our nation. .

CIA Director Brennan and Obama are both miles apart for their assessment of the war vs ISIS. That has to be something you ought to consider Capt Greene or maybe you have?????State & CIA are not in sync with Obama??? Why?? Obama is too timed and cautious these last 214 days of his Presidency and worried more about his legacy is what our nation probably thinks.

Sgt Tom Cunnally - I won't know the answer to that until all the private conversations are declassified decades from now. Consider our nation's hero, JFK and his blockade of Cuba. For decades we thought that Moscow gave in to JFK's toughness. Only in recent years did we learn that JFK secretly agreed to remove missiles from Turkey and Italy. But until all the data are public, Obama's naysayers have free reign to say anything they want.

Gotta go to dinner with my kids. Enjoy your father's day.

I don't like to think it but Obama's actions could be bent on the destruction of the US using the Cloward Piven strategy of over whelming systems. Simply overload the system to the point where it can't respond adequately . Acorn and the fake voter registrations, our immigration system, our ability to deal with terrorists. Why else let in thousands upon thousands of immigrants the FBI admits it can't properly vet? When the San Bernardino coshooter and wife immigrated to America her social media was ignored. She posted support for radical Islam.

About a year ago a group of about 50 military analysts came forward and said their reports on ISIS and the treats ISIS posed that were for White House consumption were altered. There was a brief ( read VERY brief) report in the press then nothing. How can you have intelligent decisions made when the intelligence they are based on is doctored? What happened to the people that altered the assessments? Oh never mind, move along, no hint of a scandal here... Move along..this is the most transparent Government in US history. http://www.nytimes.com/2015/09/16/us/politics/analysts-said-to-provide-evidence-of-distorted-reports-on-isis.html
