The NCO corps. Everyone is taught to lead in battle, so there is no weak link. No one officer to kill so it all falls apart.

As to your Officer sign - I swear this is true. We had a supply officer who was a 2nd LT and obviously a college grad. Doing a project they needed to cut a few ft off a 2x4, ok easy right, you cut off a foot. The Lt. told them to cut each end 6 inches , instead of a simple one cut. They mentioned that and he got pissed. I kinda wondered where he went to school, but I guess common sense isn't a course taught.
