Completely agree. Always encouraging and thanking your team members and making them feel like they are a part of something good....gives them the incentive to achieve more...work harder and having faith in them selves and feeling satisfied.

When I train employes and they make a mistake...I don't say "why did you do that" or chastise them....I tell them no problem...we can fix it...let me show you how...or something along those lines... You need to let your employes know that they are appreciated.

To leader we are there to accomplish a task or mission. What ever it may be it will require more than just us. Just because we are in leadership and have the authority to bark orders doesn't mean we should ever disregard the importance of those we lead. They are our vehicle that leads us to success. When we get that we get there together. When you have a team that believes in your vision and supports you they will give their best effort. They will only do that if you make the deliberate effort to establish the importance of being a member of a team. They are on the team regardless but that doesn't mean they see the value of being on that team. They you subordinates are your most valuable asset. When you treat them like it they will value your and your leadership the same way.
