Were you diagnosed with PTSD? Have you been reported to your unit for improper use? What did your counseling say? To put them in the arms room there should be a letter that goes along with the weapons outlying why they are there and making them a inspectable item only for verification's sake.. They can't up and take them for the hell of it. There is a reason. Did you tell your CSM he should've been a Cav scout or MP? Response by SSG Mark Franzen made Jul 14 at 2016 6:43 PM 2016-07-14T18:43:19-04:00 2016-07-14T18:43:19-04:00 SPC James Gehringer 1719096 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>ok i didn't have enough spaces to phrase the question the way i wanted in the original question so i used my personal expereance as a quick exsample it should have read&gt;&gt; why is it policy to make a soilder who lives in the barricks whith no history of mental disorders and doesn't drink and shows no signs of violent behavior check his/her personal knife/sword collection in the arms room but trust them to carry a belt fed machine gun with atleast 300 rounds in the feild? so i guess i could have aslo worded it: why is it a soilder can be trusted with a weappon system that fires 800 to 900 round a minute in a feild inviroment and not trusted their personal weapons (even knives) in a garrison enviroment being that soilder is the same person in the field as they are in the garrison? He kept it hid under one of the old gray metal wall lockers. I ended up finding it and offered to keep it for him at my quarters off post. That was one sharp as crap blade. They didn't like it much but I had written policy from far higher than them on my side.
