Why should you feel gratitude? (I will use me as an example)?

I believe the past is still the continuum of today that was altered only by you. One different decision and you would be living a different life to include having a different family. Often the different avenues are your decisions or caused by what you accomplished. When you are crowded by negative thoughts, it is incumbent for you to find the positives in your life. Don't be a prisoner of depression.

I was lucky as:
- I was adopted at 3 by wonderful parents
- I did well academically and was a star wrestler, soccer player, and football player
- I had good friends
- I grew up in the Philippines where it was a blast
- A cute stewardess picked me to flirt with amongst the 400 passengers
- I started my college career in Texas
- I joined the Army and went to OCS
- I was lucky to get the Armor Branch although my Branch Manager
- I met some super professional soldiers
- I was 1 in 300 Americans that served
- I got great pets
- My family of wife and daughters are awesome
- I am a survivor of PTSD
- And my road is wide open
