Why would an Army BCT ship date suddenly change, not just for me but also for others?

It could honestly be a needs of the Army situation. Sometimes some MOS' fill up and they may need to push the dates a bit to align with a better fitting in the Army. It could be a number of reasons however, manning and ability to train soldiers at the station etc. Regardless if you have a shipping date don't worry about it and good luck!

Supply, Logistics, Manning, OPSEC, Aerial Clearance, Housing, Comms, Ground Clearance, Authorities, Training, Repairs, Finance, current battlefield conditions, to name a few. Both for your unit and the ones you're replacing. Lots of moving parts.

This sort of thing happens all the time. Just wait until you're coming home from a deployment and you tell your family it will be on a certain date only to have that date pushed to the right. And then again. It happens. Get used to it.

My platoon/section motto in Korea was "If it wasn't for the last minute, we'd never get anything done" because of all of the changes.
