Filling out the SF 86. Family members, both sides. They need the deceased date, but shouldn't need the certificate.

I think that form is to get the security clearance in addition to being a general enlistment paperwork requirement.

The SF 86 is, but I've looked back at mine and they never even asked for a date on any of the investigations I've had, just address or deceased. I'll find out later. Her recruiter listed some bogus address just to appease them at MEPS

That's certainly a new one. Boggling my brain.

SGT Richard Souza - I'm curious now. What did they tell her when she asked?

Her recruiter has no idea either. She goes to MEPS next week, so I hope to get some answers when she comes back

SGT Richard Souza - I'm curious, why does an MP need TS/SCI? (Not dogging you, genuinely asking.)

In reality, I needed it to apply for criminal investigations.
